## Synopsis

Söz (2017-2019) is a Turkish military action drama series that ran three seasons across 84 episodes on Star TV and BluTV. Its protagonist is Yavuz Karasu, a highly trained soldier played by Tolga Sarıtaş, whose life is upended when a terrorist operation in Istanbul strikes while he is with his fiancée. Doctor Bahar, played by Aybüke Pusat, follows him back to Karabayir with a personal mission. Soon Yavuz is named commander of a team tasked with capturing a dangerous terrorist and protecting Karabayir and Turkey itself. Around him are Yarbay Erdem Korkmaz (Nihat Altınkaya), prosecutor Derya Duman (Deniz Baysal) and Nazlı Korkmaz (Ilayda Ildir). Each season is built from operations, manhunts and tense confrontations, with the tight-knit team facing sacrifice at every turn. The tone is intense, earnest and patriotic, with an emphasis on brotherhood and duty. The series delivers serialized counterterrorism action in a contemporary Turkish setting, its episodes feeling like extended missions. Fans of 24, Homeland and Kurtlar Vadisi will find resonance in its blend of relentless operations and national stakes.
