## Synopsis

The King's Avatar (2017-2024) is a Chinese donghua sports action series created by Hudie Lan and produced for bilibili and Tencent Video. Its protagonist Ye Xiu (voiced by Ajie), once a textbook top-tier pro player, is kicked from his team and works as an internet cafe manager until the tenth server of the massively multiplayer game Glory launches and he jumps back in. Armed with ten years of experience, sharp memories, and an incomplete homemade weapon, he pursues a return to the summit of the competitive ranks. Principal characters include Su Mucheng (Tong Xinzhu), Tang Rou (Qiao Shiyu), and Huang Shaotian (Ching Ip), whose team rivalries and tactical duels shape each episode. The series spans three seasons and forty-one episodes, with each season built around ranked matches, team strategy, and the personalities of its players. Its tone is energetic and sincere, with a warm, competitive spirit and a love of games. Fans of Sword Art Online and Ready Player One will find a kindred sense of virtual-world adventure and player camaraderie, while those drawn to Free! Iwatobi Swim Club will recognise its underdog heart and team loyalty.
