## Synopsis

Money Heist (2017-2021) is a Spanish crime thriller series created by Álex Pina for Netflix and Antena 3. Masked robbers take their names from cities, and the mysterious criminal mastermind known as The Professor (Álvaro Morte) leads them through a meticulously planned heist. Their target is the National Mint and Stamp Factory in Madrid, where they take dozens of hostages and hold out against a police operation commanded by Inspector Raquel Murillo (Itziar Ituño), a tough detective who becomes the robbers' most determined adversary. Tokio (Úrsula Corberó) narrates much of the action from inside the building, while the crew's leadership fractures under pressure. Each season is built around a single operation with long stretches of tense standoff, bold improvisation and sudden reversals. The story runs across three seasons and forms one continuing serialized arc. Fans of Ocean's Eleven, Prison Break and Narcos will find resonance in its propulsive, theatrical, emotionally charged style. Its tone blends propulsive suspense with romance and moral ambiguity, and its themes of loyalty, desperation and captive bonding give the siege an unusually intimate pull.
