## Synopsis

4 Blocks (2017-2019) is a German crime drama series created by Hanno Hackfort, Bob Konrad and Richard Kropf for TNT Serie. Set in the Neukolln district of Berlin, it follows Ali 'Toni' Hamady (Kida Khodr Ramadan), a clan figure who manages the daily business of dealing with Arabic gangs and wants to leave his old life behind for his family. Toni's wife Amara (Almila Bagriacik) and his brother Latif (Massiv) are drawn into the consequences of his choices, while rival figures such as Hagen Kutscha (Oliver Masucci) and Issam (Emilio Sakraya) keep pressure on every street deal. The engine is simple and relentless: Toni wants out, and the trade keeps pulling him back. Across three seasons and nineteen episodes of roughly fifty minutes, the show builds its story from territorial disputes, family crises and shifting alliances in a tight urban milieu. The tone is gritty, tense and claustrophobic, with an undercurrent of melancholy about the cost of belonging to a criminal family. Fans of Gomorrah and Narcos will find resonance in its clan power struggles and the moral squeeze on its protagonist.
