## Synopsis

40 y 20 (2016-present) is a Mexican comedy series created by Gustavo Loza for Blim. Divorced dad Francisco Antonio Paco (Jorge Van Rankin) chases younger women, while his son Francisco Antonio Jr. Fran (Mauricio Garza) prefers older women, and the two men's romantic misadventures keep crossing paths in everyday Mexico City life. Refugio Lorenza Antonia Toña (Michelle Rodríguez) and Rosario La Deleganster Espinoza (Verónica Jaspeado) add sharp counterpoint to the men's bluster. Each episode is a self-contained comic situation built from dating mishaps, awkward encounters and family friction, with an ongoing thread of shifting romances carried across the run. The show plays as a breezy, warm and irreverent sitcom with a light, cheeky edge around adult relationships. Its generational comedy of dating and divorce recalls How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men, and fans of those sitcoms will find a similar pleasure in its messy, lovable family of romantic underdogs. The series has run for many seasons, making it a long-form companion for viewers who want familiar characters and comfortable laughs.
