## Synopsis

Valor (2017-2018) is a United States drama series created by Kyle Jarrow for The CW, a one-season military drama that ended after thirteen episodes. Set largely on a present-day U.S. Army base, it follows an elite unit of helicopter pilots trained for clandestine international and domestic missions. Nora Madani (Christina Ochoa) is one of the unit's first female pilots, and her past failed mission, revisited in flashbacks, becomes the thread that pulls the story forward. Leland Gallo (Matt Barr) and fellow pilots such as Robert Haskins (Nigel Thatch) and Ian Porter (Charlie Barnett) are drawn into the widening web of personal entanglements and classified dealings. The season's engine is a planned operation to rescue a group of missing soldiers, with each episode layering present-day preparation against the buried facts of the earlier failure. Tone is tense and gritty, with a steady undercurrent of distrust toward the chain of command. Viewers who enjoy military thrillers in the vein of Black Hawk Down, the team dynamics of SEAL Team, and the moral unease of Band of Brothers will find a grounded, secretive world of aircraft, loyalty, and conflicting orders.
