## Synopsis

The Best Hit (2017) is a South Korean romance drama series created for KBS2 and produced by Chorokbaem Media and Monster Union. Yoon Shi-yoon plays Yoo Hyun-Jae, a popular idol with a loyal fanbase and a habit of courting scandal, while Kim Min-jae plays Lee Ji-Hoon, an aspiring singer who pretends to be studying for a civil service exam while secretly struggling to become an idol. Their paths tangle in the glossy, cutthroat world of the Korean entertainment industry, where image is currency and every rumor can cost a career. Lee Se-young, Cha Eun-woo and Bona appear among the wider cast, and the story leans on a time travel thread and flashback reveals that deepen the central romantic tension. Across a single season of thirty-two episodes, the engine is simple: each character hides something, and the pressure of fame keeps forcing those secrets into view. The tone sits between bittersweet and playful, with a dramatic romantic core and a sharp eye on fandom and idol culture. Fans of Boys Over Flowers and Touch Your Heart will find resonance in its mix of romantic rivalry, time-bending coincidence and a glamorous yet pressured industry backdrop. It is a self-contained one-season k-drama that rewards viewers who enjoy love triangles and hidden identities.
