## Synopsis

Siren (2018-2020) is an American fantasy horror series created by Dean White, Eric Wald and Nick Copus for Freeform. Set in the present-day coastal town of Bristol Cove, the show follows Ryn, a mysterious girl played by Eline Powell, whose arrival proves the town's old legend of mermaids all too true. Alex Roe plays Ben Pownall, Fola Evans-Akingbola plays Maddie Bishop, and Rena Owen plays Helen Hubbell, and their lives are pulled into an escalating battle between the townspeople and predatory sea beings who want back the ocean they once ruled. Each season carries the mounting conflict forward as the community weighs loyalty, fear and survival against a threat rising from the water. The series runs three seasons and thirty-six episodes, with a tone that mixes eerie coastal atmosphere, creeping dread and moments of creature violence, all framed as a family-friendly teen fantasy. Fans of Teen Wolf, Grimm and H2O: Just Add Water will find resonance in its blend of hidden mythical beings and small town unease. The show was canceled before its story was complete.
