## Synopsis

The Wheel of Time (2021-2025) is an American fantasy series created by Rafe Judkins for Prime Video, adapted from Robert Jordan's novel sequence. Rosamund Pike plays Moiraine Damodred, a powerful and secretive woman who arrives in a quiet village claiming one of five young villagers is the child of an ancient prophecy. Josha Stradowski plays Rand al'Thor, who must decide whether to trust her, while Daniel Henney as al'Lan Mandragoran, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve al'Meara and Madeleine Madden as Egwene al'Vere form the group pulled into her dangerous journey. Their engine is a race against a rising darkness, with the Dark One straining at his prison, so each season is built from travel, uneasy alliances, magical training and skirmishes with shadowy forces. Across three seasons and twenty-four episodes the story stays one continuing epic rather than a case-of-the-week format. The tone is earnest and sweeping, with lush landscapes and elaborate costumes that give the fantasy a grand scale. Fans of Game of Thrones, His Dark Materials and The Legend of Vox Machina will find resonance in its blend of destiny, companionship and high fantasy adventure. The series was canceled before its story was complete.
