## Synopsis

Missions (2017-2022) is a French science fiction drama series created by Ami Cohen, Henri Debeurme and Julien Lacombe for OCS City and OCS. Set in the near future, it follows the first manned mission to Mars as its crew approaches the red planet. Psychiatrist Jeanne Renoir, played by Hélène Viviès, is responsible for the mental health of the astronauts, and her work becomes central when the landing goes badly wrong. Alongside her, Mathias Mlekuz as William Mayer and Adriane Gradziel as Eva Müller anchor the crew's shifting loyalties and personal histories. The engine of the series is the struggle to keep a small group functional while cut off from Earth, with each episode built around crew conflicts, medical emergencies, and the weight of separation from family. Spanning three seasons of ten episodes each, it moves as a continuing serialized story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is cerebral and claustrophobic, with a melancholic, suspenseful atmosphere that favors philosophical dilemmas over action. Fans of For All Mankind, Stowaway and Constellation will find resonance in its confined spacecraft setting and its psychological focus on isolation.
