## Synopsis

Damnation (2017-2018) is an American period western drama series created by Tony Tost for USA Network. Killian Scott plays Seth Davenport, a stranger posing as a small town Iowa preacher who hopes to ignite a full-blown insurrection against the status quo. Logan Marshall-Green plays Creeley Turner, a professional strikebreaker hired by an industrialist tycoon to halt the uprising by any means necessary, while Sarah Jones plays Amelia Davenport and Christopher Heyerdahl plays Don Berryman among the principal figures drawn into the conflict. The engine of the series is a cat and mouse struggle between a disguised agitator and a hired enforcer, with every episode built from organizing, betrayal and brutal confrontations among desperate farmers, workers and the powerful men who own them. The single season of ten hour long episodes unfolds as one continuing story across the depression era heartland, where money and faith collide. Its tone is harsh, sweeping and dread-filled, with a mythic, scripture-soaked atmosphere that treats American history as a secret epic. Fans of Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire and Justified will find resonance in its gritty period texture and morally compromised characters. The show was canceled after its single season, leaving its story unfinished.
