## Synopsis

Ouran High School Host Club (2011) is a Japanese anime-style television comedy series created by Bisco Hatori for TBS. Its protagonist, scholarship student Fujioka Haruhi, accidentally shatters an antique vase at the prestigious Ouran Academy and finds herself owing the school's flamboyant male host club a fortune. Her plan is simple: pose as a host and pay off the debt, though her disguise keeps being tested by the club's eccentric members, including the charming leader Suou Tamaki, the calculating Ootori Kyoya, and the quiet Morinozuka Takashi. Each episode is built from a sequence of mishaps, misunderstandings and client requests that puncture the glamour of the club while exposing the gap between the members' polished public personas and their awkward private lives. Based on the shoujo manga by Hatori, the series is a single-season, eleven-episode run that plays as a broad parody of reverse harem romance, with a bright, goofy and affectionate tone. Fans of Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and Hana Kimi will find the same blend of school comedy, gender-bending mischief and light romance here.
