## Synopsis

La mujer de Judas (2002) is a Venezuelan telenovela created by Martin Hahn, Astrid Carolina Herrera and Albi De Abreu for RCTV. Chantal Baudaux plays Gloria Leal, a woman whose life is bound to a figure of betrayal, while Juan Carlos García plays Salomón Vaisman, a man whose loyalties and rivalries pull the story in unexpected directions. Estefanía López plays Cordelia Araujo Ramírez, and Luis Gerardo Núñez plays Marcos Rojas Paul, adding further romantic entanglements and family tensions to the central marriage. The engine of the series is the slow unraveling of secrets, jealousy and broken promises, delivered through melodramatic confrontations, reconciliations and reversals that fill each of its 126 episodes. It is a single completed season, a sprawling serialized soap whose story unfolds in order and rewards steady viewing. The series belongs to the Latin American telenovela tradition, with heightened emotion, dramatic music cues and wide swings of fortune. Its tone is passionate, sincere and sometimes overwrought, centered on love, deception and loyalty within a contemporary Venezuelan milieu. Fans of Betty la fea, Rubí and La usurpadora will find similar resonance in its soapy intensity and long-form romantic drama.
