## Synopsis

Fate/Apocrypha (2017) is a Japanese anime action fantasy series produced by A-1 Pictures and adapted from a light novel. Its story follows the Holy Grail War, a conflict in which mages summon legendary Heroic Spirits as servants to fight for a sacred grail. The narrative grows out of a theft during the chaos of World War II, and the Yggdmillennia family, who have taken the grail as their symbol, break away from the Mages' Association. The Association sends forces against them, and the war that follows escalates to an unprecedented scale. Each episode is built around large-scale clashes between servants and masters, with mythic figures and dark plotting filling the battlefield. The tone is dramatic and mythic, with grim stakes, brutal combat, and a sense of cosmic rivalry. Fans of Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night and similar supernatural battle anime will find resonance in its blend of legendary warriors, magical strategy and wartime-rooted conflict. The single season spans 25 episodes and presents a dark, heroic spectacle.
