## Synopsis

X-Men: Evolution (2000-2003) is an American animated superhero series created by Robert N. Skir, Marty Isenberg and David Wise for The WB. Set in a present-day high school, it follows teenage mutants Cyclops (voiced by Kirby Morrow), Jean Grey (Venus Terzo), Rogue (Meghan Black), Nightcrawler (Brad Swaile) and Shadowcat (Maggie O'Hara) as they balance classes, friendships and crushes with the dangers of using their powers in a community that fears and hates them. Professor X (David Kaye) guides the young heroes while rival mutants and human suspicion keep pressure on them. The engine is simple and character-driven: each episode pits the team against a threat or prejudice that grows out of their everyday lives, and the four seasons build a continuing arc of loyalty and belonging. Produced by Film Roman with Marvel Studios and aired on The WB, the show has a bright, adventurous tone that still lands emotional beats about outsiders finding a place to belong. Its mix of teen drama and superhero action makes it a fit for fans of Teen Titans, Batman: The Animated Series and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it sits comfortably as a family-friendly introduction to the mutant world.
