## Synopsis

Tsuredure Children is a Japanese anime romantic comedy series that aired on TOKYO MX in 2017 and ran for a single twelve-episode season. Produced by a studio group including A-1 Pictures and Studio Gokumi, it is built from short, self-contained vignettes, each about twelve minutes long, following different students at a Japanese high school as they fumble through crushes and confessions. Voice performances come from Kana Hanazawa as Yuki Minagawa, Kensho Ono as Masafumi Akagi, Tomoaki Maeno as Takeru Gouda, and Yui Ogura as Ayaka Kamine, while Kentaro Kumagai voices Haruhiko Takase, a boy so crippled by self-doubt that he struggles to believe a girl he admires has actually asked him out. The engine of the show is the gap between what characters want and what they dare to do, mined for quick, deadpan laughs and sweet, cringe-tinged discomfort. Episodes rotate across a cast of overlapping storylines, so the show moves like a mosaic rather than one continuing plot. Its tone is light, breezy and gently absurd, with an undercurrent of sincere longing. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Horimiya and Kimi ni Todoke will find resonance in its school-set romance and its affection for awkward, earnest youth.
