## Synopsis

Knight's & Magic (2017) is a Japanese animated isekai mecha comedy produced for AT-X, adapted from a light novel series. Its protagonist, Ernesti "Eru" Echevalier (voiced by Rie Takahashi), is a mecha otaku reincarnated into a fantasy world where enormous humanoid weapons called Silhouette Knights dominate combat and daily life. Eru's ambition is to pilot these machines, and he pursues it with his childhood friends Archid Olter (voiced by Shinsuke Sugawara) and Adeltrud Olter (voiced by Ayaka Ohashi), training toward the title of Knight Runner. The engine of the show is their shared dream and the obstacles of learning to ride the machines, with each episode built around training, rivalries, and small-scale adventures. Told across a single thirteen-episode season of roughly twenty-five minutes each, the series keeps a light, playful register, leaning on fan-pleasing mecha spectacle and warm camaraderie. Its tone is breezy and affectionate toward its genre. Fans of Log Horizon, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Gurren Lagann will find resonance in its blend of reincarnation fantasy, robot piloting and youthful friendship.
