## Synopsis

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (1991-1992) is a Japanese animated original video animation series produced by Sunrise, a compact thirteen-episode real robot mecha story set in the Universal Century year 0083. Rookie pilot Kou Uraki (voiced by Ryo Horikawa) is an inexperienced member of the test pilot crew aboard the newly built carrier Albion, and his struggle is to hold a stolen prototype Gundam in the air against a formidable opponent. Ace pilot Anavel Gato (voiced by Akio Otsuka), a veteran of the defeated Principality of Zeon, infiltrates a Federation research base to take one of two secret prototype suits along with its nuclear warhead, and the Albion crew must pursue him across space. Each episode mixes tactical dogfights, hardware-focused engineering talk, and the weight of a war that was supposed to be over. Nina Purpleton (voiced by Rei Sakuma) and Cima Garahau (voiced by Mari Mashiba) add personal stakes to the military machinery. The tone is serious, grounded and tense, with bleak undertones of lingering conflict and a restless sense that peace is fragile. Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam (1979), Macross and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn will find resonance in its hardware-driven space battles and its sober view of war.
