## Synopsis

I'm Sorry is an American truTV single-camera sitcom created by and starring Andrea Savage, who plays a version of herself: a comedy writer, wife and mother whose composed public image keeps buckling under her own vanity, impatience and immaturity. Tom Everett Scott plays her husband Mike, who absorbs the fallout as ordinary errands, dinners, school events and friendships spiral into mortifying scenes. Supporting work from Jason Mantzoukas, Kathy Baker and Olive Petrucci adds pressure from work, family and the next generation. Each half-hour episode is a self-contained case of a small social situation stretching into an excruciating embarrassment, played with deadpan timing and a candid, unflinching eye for the awkwardness of marriage and motherhood. Over two seasons of ten episodes each, the show keeps its focus tight on one woman's cringe-prone instincts rather than on a larger plot. Its mood is intimate, sharp and self-aware, and it is best suited to viewers who enjoy confessional humor and flawed protagonists. The series ended after its second season without a formal conclusion.
