## Synopsis

Tim and Eric's Bedtime Stories (2014-2017) is an American surreal dark comedy anthology series created by Eric Wareheim and Tim Heidecker for Adult Swim. Rather than following a single protagonist through a continuing plot, the show presents a run of short, self-contained sketches of roughly eleven minutes each, in which Heidecker and Wareheim play deadpan, socially incompetent figures drifting through bizarre situations. Guest performers such as Bob Odenkirk, who plays a doctor, and Zach Galifianakis, who appears as himself, join the cast in stories that escalate into uncomfortable, unexpected territory. The engine of each segment is the gap between mundane domestic or workplace routines and the strange, often grotesque turns they take. Across two seasons and fifteen episodes, the series keeps its tone unsettling and awkward, with dry, brittle humor sitting beside moments of genuine dread. Its tradition is the cult alt-comedy sketch show, a lineage that fans of Nathan For You and Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule will find familiar. The result is a mood of deliberate discomfort, playful absurdity, and cringe-inducing timing, best suited to viewers who enjoy comedy that refuses to reassure them.
