## Synopsis

Actually, I Am... (2015) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series produced by TMS Entertainment and broadcast on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka, adapted in the tradition of the shounen anime comedy. Across a single thirteen-episode season, high school student Asahi Kuromine (voiced by Natsuki Hanae) spots his crush Yoko Shiragami (voiced by Yu Serizawa) unfurling a pair of wings, and learns she is a vampire allowed to attend a normal school only if nobody discovers her identity. Asahi swears to keep her secret, but his talkative nature makes that promise hard to keep, and the everyday effort of hiding a supernatural truth from classmates drives most episodes. Mikan Akemi (voiced by Reina Ueda), a friend who keeps teasing and bullying the pair, adds boisterous chaos to the classroom scenes, while Yoko's airheaded cluelessness keeps the mood light. The atmosphere is breezy, playful and affectionate, with supernatural elements treated as ordinary school trouble. Fans of Rosario + Vampire and Monster Musume will find resonance in its mix of monster-girl charm and harem-style romantic comedy. The short episodes suit an easygoing viewing session.
