## Synopsis

Loudermilk (2017-2021) is an American dark comedy series created by Bobby Mort and Peter Farrelly, broadcast on Audience and Prime Video. Ron Livingston plays Sam Loudermilk, a recovering alcoholic and substance abuse counselor whose blunt, unfiltered attitude alienates nearly everyone around him. Will Sasso plays Ben, a friend and flatmate who nudges Sam toward something better, and Anja Savcic plays Claire, the attractive neighbor whose arrival gives Sam a reason to try. The engine of the show is Sam's struggle to keep his drinking under control while his personal and professional lives keep unraveling, with each episode built from awkward counseling sessions, support group scenes, and volatile domestic friction. Across three seasons of ten half-hour episodes, the story stays grounded in one continuing arc about sobriety and romance. The tone is caustic and sardonic, with sincere moments about recovery breaking through the bitterness. Fans of Shameless and Eastbound & Down will find a similar appetite for flawed, self-sabotaging protagonists and sharp, adult humor.
