## Synopsis

Christmas on Blood Mountain (2017-2019) is a Norwegian crime comedy series created by Kjetil Indregard, Martin Zimmer and Christopher Pahle for TVNorge. Set around the Soot family's holiday gathering, the show follows a family whose festive reunion goes badly wrong as relatives are killed one by one by an unseen murderer. Svein Soot (Trond Fausa Aurvåg) and Nanna Soot (Ine Jansen) anchor a crowded ensemble that includes Toffen Soot (Atle Antonsen), Liv Soot (Lene Kongsvik Johansen) and Cris Soot (Jon Øigarden), each of whom becomes a suspect as old grudges and family secrets surface. The engine is a classic whodunit: the family must work out who among them is the killer while the holiday festivities continue around the bodies. Across two seasons of short episodes, the mysteries unfold in a brisk, playful way, with each installment built like a tiny advent-calendar puzzle. The tone mixes darkly comic bickering with genuine suspense, giving the show a cozy yet unsettling holiday atmosphere. Fans of Knives Out, Clue and Murder, She Wrote will find resonance in its blend of festive setting, sharp suspicion and wry humour. Its two seasons total 48 episodes, each roughly twelve minutes long, making it an easy and fun seasonal watch.
