## Synopsis

Rellik (2017) is a British crime miniseries created by Jack Williams and Harry Williams for BBC One. Told in reverse, the six-episode serial killer thriller follows DCI Gabriel Markham (Richard Dormer), a detective hunting a brutal murderer while his personal life frays. Detective Elaine Shepard (Jodi Balfour) and DI Mike Sutherland (Kieran Bew) work the case alongside him, and the investigation moves backward through its events, so each hour reframes what the viewer thought they knew about the murders. The engine is the gradual unravelling of the truth: every answer leads to an earlier question, and the hunt for the killer is pushed forward by Markham's grief and his family's unease. Each episode is built around a new discovery in a single case rather than a case of the week. The result is a tightly plotted, bleak British procedural with tense, claustrophobic moods and a mounting sense of dread. Viewers who enjoy Broadchurch, Line of Duty and Memento will find resonance in its puzzle structure and grim, character-driven investigation. It is a limited series of one season and six episodes.
