## Synopsis

Xiaolin Showdown (2003-2006) is an American animated action comedy created by Christy Hui for The WB's Kids' WB block. Four young warriors in training, led by the monk Omi (voiced by Tara Strong) alongside Kimiko Tohomiko (Grey DeLisle), Raimundo Pedrosa (Tom Kenny) and Clay Bailey (Jeff Bennett), race to keep powerful Shen Gong Wu out of the hands of villains. The engine of the series is simple and playful: each episode centers on a newly revealed artifact that both sides chase, and the chase usually ends in a formal magical duel called a Xiaolin Showdown between one hero and one villain. Villains such as Wuya (Susan Silo) and the bumbling Jack Spicer (Danny Cooksey) scheme to seize the artifacts and conquer the world. The show runs three seasons and 52 episodes, built as standalone adventures stitched together by a larger rivalry. Its tone is bright, breezy and goofy, with martial arts spectacle and teen banter pulling the viewer forward. Set in a fantasy world where kung fu and Eastern magic are commonplace, it sits in the vein of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teen Titans, a family-friendly cartoon that rewards young viewers and nostalgic adults alike.
