## Synopsis

Our Story (Bizim Hikaye) is a Turkish family drama that ran for two seasons and 70 episodes on FOX Turkey from 2017 to 2019, adapted from the American series Shameless. Hazal Kaya plays Filiz, a twenty-year-old who has set aside school, dreams and her own youth to raise five younger siblings after their mother walks out and their alcoholic father Fikri proves useless as a provider. Every crisis lands on her shoulders: keeping a fragile household fed, schooled and together in a crowded working-class apartment in contemporary urban Turkey. Burak Deniz plays Barış, a mysterious newcomer who falls for her and forces her to ask whether love can have any place in her impossible world. The tone blends melodrama with warmth, scrappy humor and sharp moments of heartbreak, with long, emotionally serialized episodes that let small victories feel earned. Sibling loyalty, sacrifice and class pressure drive the story, and viewers who love the chaotic family energy of Shameless or the sincere romance of Turkish prime time serials will find a lot to hold onto.
