## Synopsis

The Girl from Tomorrow is an Australian science fiction family series set in early 1992 and the year 3000. Katharine Cullen plays Alana, a girl from the far future who is kidnapped by the criminal Silverthorn and dragged back to the present. Her situation is simple and urgent: she must adapt to an unfamiliar world while hunting for a way home, often one step from recapture. Melissa Marshall plays Jenny Kelly, an ordinary suburban girl who becomes Alana's closest ally and helps her navigate school, family life and the everyday rules of the 1990s. Each episode brings new hurdles while the larger quest for a return passage continues beneath them. The tone is bright, earnest and gently adventurous, with a warm emphasis on friendship and the comedy of a visitor from the future misreading ordinary life. Fans of Doctor Who, Back to the Future and Round the Twist will find a similar blend of time travel wonder, youthful optimism and family-friendly suspense. The series suits children and early teens looking for a light, imaginative time travel story with heart.
