## Synopsis

Go Back Couple (2017) is a South Korean television romantic comedy series created for KBS2 and adapted from a webtoon. Choi Ban-du (Son Ho-jun) and Ma Jin-joo (Jang Na-ra) have been married for eighteen years and are worn down by frustration with their lives, until a strange occurrence sends them back in time to the day before they first met, inhabiting their younger selves. The engine of the series is the couple trying to reshape their early romance while navigating the people and choices that shaped their lives, with Park Hyun-seok (Im Ji-gyu) and An Jae-woo (Heo Jung-min) among the figures crossing their paths. Each episode mixes sharp domestic humor with a quieter reflection on how love fades and is rediscovered. The single season of twelve episodes runs about seventy minutes each and is built as one continuing story rather than standalone cases. The tone is wistful and warm, balancing comedy with melancholy about regret and time. Set in contemporary South Korea with flashbacks to the couple's youth, it carries the tradition of the Korean romantic comedy. Fans of About Time and Back to the Future will find resonance in its blend of time travel and romance.
