## Synopsis

Juni Taisen: Zodiac War (2017) is a Japanese anime action series produced by Graphinica and aired on AT-X, a single-season run of twelve 24-minute episodes. Mercenaries of extraordinary strength, cunning and precision are summoned to a Zodiac Tournament held once every twelve years, and each fighter takes the name and attributes of one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. The engine of the story is the brutal contest itself: warriors fight with their pride and their lives on the line, and every bout pushes the field closer to a single survivor. Voice cast includes Shun Horie as the Rat, Nobuhiko Okamoto as the Rabbit, Yuuichirou Umehara as the Ox, and Takuya Eguchi as the Dragon, giving the battle lineup its distinct personalities. The series unfolds as one continuing supernatural tournament rather than standalone episodes, and its mythic setting draws on the zodiac folklore of East Asia. Its tone is intense, violent and grim, foregrounding rivalry, honor and mortal stakes. Fans of Fate/Zero, Basilisk and Saint Seiya will find resonance in its blend of mythic lore, elite combatants and merciless combat.
