## Synopsis

Just Because! (2017) is a Japanese animated slice of life romance series produced by PINE JAM, aired on AT-X. Across a single twelve-episode season of roughly twenty-three minutes each, it follows four students in their third year of high school as they approach graduation at the close of their second semester. The engine is the quiet unease of endings: their shared final months are gently unsettled by the arrival of a transfer student, whose presence nudges friendships and feelings into new and uncertain shapes. Episodes are built from everyday school life, conversations, and small emotional turns rather than dramatic set pieces. The tone is wistful and tender, with a warm, low-stakes atmosphere that lingers on adolescent longing and the bittersweet awareness that a familiar chapter is closing. Fans of Your Lie in April, Kimi ni Todoke and Horimiya will find similar resonance in its school-set romance, gentle pacing and coming-of-age melancholy. The series suits viewers who want a short, emotionally soft anime to watch in one sitting or revisit during quiet evenings.
