## Synopsis

Rosario Tijeras (2016-present) is a Mexican telenovela series, a five-season serialized drama produced for Netflix and Azteca. Bárbara de Regil plays the title character, a vengeance-obsessed young woman from the wrong side of the tracks whose path collides with two well-off friends, Emilio Echegaray (Antonio Gaona) and Brandon López Morales (Luis Alberti). Paula Restrepo (Ariana Ron Pedrique) and Antonio Bethancourt (José María de Tavira) circle the same tangled romances. The engine is class and loyalty: Rosario's grudges pull her into dangerous territory while the wealthy characters struggle with the consequences of their privilege, and each season builds a new round of passion, betrayal and reckoning across forty-five-minute episodes. Set in a contemporary Mexican city where old money and street hustle share the same streets, the show trades in melodramatic cliffhangers, sultry tension and gritty violence. Its tone is intense and romantic, its themes revenge, class divide and forbidden love. Fans of La Reina del Sur, Betty la fea and Narcos will find resonance in its blend of crime and soap opera.
