## Synopsis

Harley Quinn (2019-2025) is an American adult animated comedy series created by Patrick Schumacker, Justin Halpern and Dean Lorey, originally carried on the DC Universe streaming service and later on HBO Max and Max. Kaley Cuoco voices Harley Quinn, a former henchwoman who has finally split from the Joker and is trying to make it on her own as the criminal queenpin of Gotham City. Lake Bell voices her steadiest ally, Poison Ivy, and the crew of DC castoffs around them includes Ron Funches as King Shark, along with Diedrich Bader voicing Batman and a rotating roster of other comic-book figures. Each episode is a freewheeling, self-contained caper in which the gang runs rackets, pulls heists and tangles with rival villains, while the characters' messy attempts at friendship and loyalty give the chaos some heart. The show runs five seasons and roughly fifty-seven half-hour episodes, a continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its register is profane, irreverent and fast, with crude humor, graphic violence and sexual content. Fans of Invincible, The Boys and Rick and Morty will find resonance in its satire of superhero clichés and its anarchic affection for misfits.
