## Synopsis

The Boy Next Door (2017) is a Korean web series created by Choi Jae-yoon, produced by Make Us and Dingo Studio and released through NAVER TV and YouTube. This single-season limited series runs fifteen short episodes of about seven minutes each. Choi Woo-shik plays Park Kyu-tae, a neighbor who cannot shake off the man living across from him, and Jang Ki-yong plays Sung Gi-jae, the other half of this increasingly tangled pairing. Their engine is simple and comic: two men who keep colliding, discover they share an acquaintance named Min-ah, and end up under one roof, where every small irritation becomes a hook for teasing and misunderstanding. Each episode is a brisk, self-contained bit of awkward situational humor that accumulates into a larger story about closeness and unspoken feeling. The mood is breezy, sincere and warmly comic, with a youthful, playful romantic undercurrent. Set in contemporary Seoul, it is a bite-sized romance with a light touch, the kind of show fans of Love Alarm, Business Proposal and Heartstopper will find resonance in, all built on a webtoon-derived premise.
