## Synopsis

Laakhon Mein Ek (2017-2022) is an Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama series created by Biswa Kalyan Rath for Prime Video. Fifteen-year-old Aakash, a restless kid who dreams of making mimicry videos for the internet, lands at Genius Infinity, a pressure-cooker IIT coaching institute, where he is stuck in the notorious section D as a misfit who cannot keep up with the syllabus. His ambition to be seen collides with the crushing competition of exam-prep life, and his roommates Bakri and Chudail become the unlikely friends who help him find his footing. Across two seasons totalling fourteen short episodes of about twenty-five minutes each, the show runs on classroom bluster, hostel pranks, and the everyday humiliations of a teen trying to pass life's multiple-choice questions. The tone is breezy and warm, with satirical jabs at the coaching industry and an undercurrent of anxiety about parental expectations and the cost of one exam. Set in present-day India during the years it aired, it plays like a lighter, youthful cousin of Kota Factory and 3 Idiots, with the sly self-awareness of Community. Fans of coming-of-age school comedies with a sincere heart will find it an easy, affectionate watch.
