## Synopsis

The Umbrella Academy (2019-2024) is an American Netflix superhero series created by Steve Blackman, adapted from the comic book by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. Reunited by their father's death, estranged adopted siblings with extraordinary powers gather in their childhood mansion, where Luther (Tom Hopper) and Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) lead the search for answers while Klaus (Robert Sheehan) and Viktor (Elliot Page) wrestle with their own damaged pasts. Five (Aidan Gallagher) returns from a jump through time with a warning that the world is ending, and the siblings are forced to chase the threat through decades of shifting timelines. The engine is a family too damaged to trust itself racing against an apocalypse that keeps moving. Each season is a serialized, ten-episode story (the final season runs six) with heavy mythology and layered reveals. The show mixes slick action sequences, deadpan wit and heartbreak, with a retro-tinged, stylized look. Fans of Heroes, Misfits and The Boys will find resonance in its blend of comic book spectacle and dysfunctional family drama.
