## Synopsis

A Korean Odyssey (2017-2018) is a tvN fantasy romantic comedy created by Hong Mi-ran, Kim Byeong-su, Park Hong-kyun and Hong Jeong-eun, produced by Studio Dragon. Lee Seung-gi plays Son O-gong, a self-serving mythical creature whose bid for invincibility backfires when he finds himself at the mercy of Jin Seon-mi (Oh Yeon-seo), a woman who can see otherworldly beings. Cha Seung-won plays Devil King Woo, while Lee Se-young and Lee Hong-gi round out the principal cast. The engine of the story is a scheming immortal's frustrated attempts to regain his power while bound to an ordinary human who keeps pulling him into messy supernatural encounters. Across one twenty-episode season, each stretch is built from playful misadventures, shifting alliances and the slow thaw of an uneasy partnership. Set in contemporary South Korea, the series mixes Korean folklore figures with the glossy world of the entertainment industry. Its tone is witty, melodramatic and warmly absurd, with romance threaded through the comedy. Fans of Goblin and Hotel del Luna will find resonance in its blend of mythic romance and sharp humor.
