## Synopsis

A Love So Beautiful (2017) is a Chinese youth romance series created by Zhao Qian Qian for Tencent Video. Shen Yue plays Chen Xiaoxi, a budding artist whose lifelong affection for her handsome but indifferent childhood friend and neighbor Jiang Chen (Hu Yitian) drives the story. The engine of each episode is the small friction of school life: classroom rivalries, misunderstandings between friends, family pressures at home, and the slow discomfort of wanting someone who seems not to notice. Supporting roles include Gao Zhiting as Wu Bosong and Wang Ziwei as Lin Jingxiao, whose presence widens the circle of classmates and rivals around the central pair. The series runs as a single 23-episode season, a straightforward slice of life told in a continuous thread rather than a case of the week. Its tone is sweet, warm and gently humorous, with a sincere emphasis on friendship and personal growth. Set in contemporary China, it captures the everyday textures of campus and home life. Fans of Meteor Garden, Heartstopper and Your Name Engraved Herein will find the same blend of first love, youthful misunderstandings and comforting emotion.
