## Synopsis

Bullets (2018) is a Finnish crime thriller series created by Minna Virtanen and Antti Pesonen and produced by Vertigo Production, aired on Elisa Viihde. Krista Kosonen plays Mari Saari, an intelligence agency officer who must pose under a fake identity to befriend Madina Taburova (Sibel Kekilli), a former terrorist presumed dead who turns up in Helsinki seeking political asylum. Mari needs to learn why she has come, and she is forced into an uneasy partnership with Timo Viita (Tommi Korpela), an older streetwise narcotics cop whose methods clash with hers. Across a single season of ten roughly 45-minute episodes, the story unfolds as one continuing investigation where each revelation shifts who can be trusted. The tone is tense and paranoid, with a cold, rain-washed Helsinki backdrop that gives the story a restless, watchful atmosphere. Its focus is on deception, divided loyalties and the cost of living a double life. Viewers who enjoy The Bureau, The Killing and Tyrant will find a similar mix of espionage pressure and morally gray pursuit. The story is set in contemporary Helsinki, grounded in modern European security politics.
