## Synopsis

Deadly Class (2019) is a United States cable action comedy drama series created by Miles Orion Feldsott and Rick Remender for Syfy, adapted from the comic by Rick Remender. Benjamin Wadsworth plays Marcus Lopez Arguello, a disillusioned teenager recruited into a storied San Francisco high school for assassins, where Benedict Wong's Master Lin oversees a ruthless curriculum. Lana Condor plays Saya Kuroki, a fellow student whose loyalties complicate Marcus's attempts to keep his moral code intact. María Gabriela de Faría and Luke Tennie round out a cast of classmates navigating vicious social cliques and adolescent uncertainty. Each episode mixes lethal training missions with schoolyard politics, giving the single season a jagged mix of bloody action and sardonic dark comedy. Set in the 1980s against a cold war backdrop, the show plays its violence with a punk rock edge and a restless teen energy. Its tone is irreverent and kinetic, with moments of genuine melancholy under the mayhem. Fans of Heathers, Hanna and Cobra Kai will find resonance in its blend of teen angst, action spectacle and dark humor. The single season, rated positively by audiences, ended on an unresolved note after cancellation.
