## Synopsis

Save Me (2018-2020) is a British crime drama series created by Lennie James for Sky Atlantic. Lennie James stars as Nelson Rowe, a father arrested on suspicion of kidnapping his thirteen-year-old daughter Jody, whom he has not seen in ten years. After clearing his name with the police, he grows frustrated with a stalled investigation and decides to track her down himself, moving through a criminal underworld of exploitation and danger. Suranne Jones plays Claire McGory, one of the principal figures pulling him deeper into the search. The engine of the story is a desperate parent's pursuit against institutional slowness, with each episode built around leads, confrontations and the cost of the hunt. Across two seasons of six episodes each, it plays as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Its tone is bleak, tense and emotionally raw, with a strong undercurrent of grief and guilt. Fans of Broken and Line of Duty will find resonance in its British realism and its moral unease, and viewers drawn to Taken will recognise the relentless personal quest. The series is rated TV-MA and carries a harrowing subject matter throughout, making it a demanding but rewarding watch for adults.
