## Synopsis

Terrace House: Opening New Doors (2017-2019) is a Japanese reality dating show created for Netflix and Fuji TV, with a 49-episode run across six seasons. Strangers live together in a shared house with no scripted narration, and the camera follows their everyday routines, friendships, and romantic entanglements as they unfold over shared meals, chores, and quiet evenings. The main draw is the slow development of attraction and friction among housemates who must keep living under one roof. In this installment the setting moves from the city to a house in the winter forests and mountains of Karuizawa, Nagano prefecture, giving the cohabitation a snowy, secluded feel. Commentators Reina Triendl, Yoshimi Tokui, Ryota Yamasato, Azusa Babazono, and Shono Hayama, with YOU, frame the episodes with reflective remarks that add context and warmth. Fans of Love Island and The Real World will find resonance in its observational romance and roommate dynamics. The tone is gentle, intimate, and wistful, with an understated emotional pull that rewards patient viewing. Each episode is a low-stakes window into ordinary life and tentative romance, making it an easy companion for long evenings. Its quiet atmosphere and ensemble of young people sharing a home make it distinctive among dating formats.
