## Synopsis

Las Tontas No Van al Cielo is a Mexican telenovela comedy created by Enrique Torres for Las Estrellas, starring Jacqueline Bracamontes as Candy Morales, a modern Cinderella who loses her prince on her wedding day. She flees to Mexico City, takes a new identity, and moves in with her gay uncle. Jaime Camil co-stars as Santy, and the cast includes Valentino Lanús and Sabine Moussier as figures tangled in her romantic past. The engine is simple and sticky: a heroine hiding her history must keep a secret while raising a son, and each episode turns on a fresh misunderstanding, disguise, or romantic reversal. Her advice column unexpectedly becomes a hit, giving her a career arc that runs alongside the love plot. Told across one 140-episode season, the series is breezy and warm, with a melodramatic heart and a brisk comic sensibility. Its tone is sentimental, playful, and romantic, and it suits viewers who enjoy Yo soy Betty, la fea and Ugly Betty, with their class-conscious heroines and blend of heartfelt romance and farce.
