## Synopsis

Corporate (2018-2020) is a American cable workplace comedy series created by Pat Bishop, Jake Weisman, and Matt Ingebretson for Comedy Central. Matt Ingebretson and Jake Weisman, who also co-created the show, play Matt and Jake, two junior executives-in-training trapped inside a soulless multinational corporation. Their engine is simple and miserable: they want to advance their careers and keep their dignity while a tyrannical CEO, played by Lance Reddick as Christian DeVille, and his top lieutenants keep them at their mercy. Anne Dudek plays Kate, and Aparna Nancherla plays Grace, the Human Resources representative who is their only ally. Each episode of this short, roughly half-hour sitcom is built from an ever-revolving series of workplace disasters, humiliations, and petty power plays that escalate quickly. Across three seasons and twenty-six episodes, the show stays in one continuing office world rather than standing alone case by case. The tone is dark, edgy, and cringe-driven, with a bleak satirical view of corporate life, the kind of acerbic comedy that rewards viewers who enjoy awkward ensemble humor. Fans of The Office and Silicon Valley will find resonance in its mockery of management and bureaucracy.
