## Synopsis

Laid-Back Camp (2018-present) is a Japanese animated slice of life series produced by C-Station and broadcast on AT-X. Its protagonist, Nadeshiko Kagamihara, is a high school girl who bikes toward Mount Fuji, faints in worsening weather, and wakes alone at night with no way home. She is rescued by Rin Shima, a self-sufficient solo camper, and their meeting opens a friendship that grows through shared outings. Other principal characters include Chiaki Ogaki and Ena Saito, whose group camping trips form the spine of each episode. The series has no real overarching conflict; its engine is the simple pleasure of pitching a tent, cooking a meal over a portable stove, and exploring rural Yamanashi landmarks and hot springs. Across three seasons and 37 episodes of about 24 minutes, it moves at a relaxed pace, with calm, warm and wistful moods that suit a quiet evening. Its gentle, cozy register and attention to food and scenery draw comparisons to Non Non Biyori and Yuru Yuri, and fans of healing anime will find the same unhurried comfort here.
