## Synopsis

Kokkoku: Moment by Moment (2018) is a Japanese animated science fiction mystery series produced by Geno Studio and Twin Engine and aired on TOKYO MX and BS11. Juri Yukawa, voiced by Chika Anzai, follows her family into Stasis, a world where time has stopped and only a handful of people can still move. Her brother and nephew have been kidnapped by the Genuine Love Society, a religious group, and Juri's grandfather, voiced by Kazuhiro Yamaji, left behind the stone that makes the crossing possible. The engine of the story is a rescue under pressure: the family must infiltrate the kidnappers' base, navigate a frozen landscape, and work out who else can move freely there while grotesque creatures close in. Across one twelve-episode season of roughly twenty-four minutes each, the tension builds through puzzle-like discoveries and escalating danger. The mood is eerie and claustrophobic, with an unsettling sense of dread balanced by the family's stubborn loyalty. Fans of Another and Re:Zero will find resonance in its supernatural mystery and time-bent tension, and anime viewers who enjoy a self-contained psychological thriller will find this a compact, absorbing watch that ends on a complete arc.
