## Synopsis

Sweet Revenge (2017-2018) is a South Korean high school revenge drama series created by Han Sang-im, Kim Jong-seon and Seo Won-tae for oksusu, spanning two seasons and 54 episodes. Its protagonist Seo Robin (Samuel) stumbles onto a mysterious phone application that punishes whoever's name is written into it, and she begins using that power for her own benefit against classmates who have wronged her. Seo Jay (Ji Min-hyuk) and Ho Goo-hee (Kim Hyang-gi) orbit her world of cliques, romance and school bullying, and each episode turns on a new target, a new humiliation and a new cost of the app's power. Set in a contemporary South Korean high school, the series plays out as a serialized teen melodrama with a fantasy hook, where the appeal lies in the schoolyard rivalries and the question of how far a wronged teenager will go. Its tone mixes breezy romance and campus comedy with sharper edges of cruelty and resentment, in the spirit of a k-drama. Fans of Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl and Sky Castle will find resonance in its polished teen intrigue and social dominance games.
