## Synopsis

De Luizenmoeder (2018-2019) is a Dutch television comedy series created by Ilse Warringa and Jan Albert de Weerd for NPO 3. Jennifer Hoffman plays Hannah, a newly divorced woman who decides to get her life back on track, and the story turns on the everyday chaos she meets when she takes up a place among the staff of a busy primary school. Warringa also appears as the eccentric teacher Juf Ank, while Diederik Ebbinge plays the harried headmaster Directeur Anton and Bianca Krijgsman plays the helpful Hulpmoeder Nancy. Each short episode is built from small workplace mishaps, awkward classroom moments, and colleague rivalries, giving the show a light episodic rhythm across two seasons and eighteen episodes in total. Its tone is warm, gentle, and self-deprecating, with quiet sincerity about starting over and finding one's footing. Set in a contemporary Dutch school, the series sits within the tradition of low-key national sitcoms that prize character over plot. Fans of Divorce and Ja Zuster, Nee Zuster will find a similar blend of wry domestic humor and heart.
