## Synopsis

Hidden (2018-2021) is a Welsh-language British noir crime series created by Ed Talfan and Mark Andrew for S4C. Detective Inspector Cadi John (Sian Reese-Williams) and Detective Constable Owen Vaughan (Sion Alun Davies) work the murder of Mali Pryce, a young woman whose body is discovered in a stream in the woods. Their investigation pushes them through the lives of a tight-knit rural community, where every interview peels back another secret and every alibi shows a crack. Detective Superintendent Susan Lynn (Victoria Pugh) presses from above while the detectives' own personal lives strain under the pressure. Across three seasons and twenty episodes of roughly fifty-seven minutes each, the series builds a patient, character-driven procedural rather than a case-of-the-week format. The mood is wet, cold and melancholic, with a sense of grief and unease hanging over the landscape. Fans of Broadchurch, The Killing and Line of Duty will find the same mix of bleak atmosphere, layered suspects and emotional fallout. Set in present-day Wales, the story is grounded and unhurried, carried by strong performances and a steady, mounting sense of dread.
