## Synopsis

Breathe (2018) is an Indian crime thriller limited series created by Mayank Sharma for Prime Video. Across eight forty-minute episodes, Amit Sadh plays Kabir Sawant, a brilliant but unconventional Crime Branch officer in Mumbai who pieces together a series of seemingly unconnected deaths of organ donors. His investigation leads him toward an unlikely suspect, the affable Danny Mascarenhas, played by R. Madhavan, whose calm and friendly exterior makes the case harder to read. Kabir's relentless drive to crack the case and deliver justice is the engine of the story, and each episode tightens the net around a hidden trade in human organs while his personal life and the people around him are pulled into the pressure. The show is built around a single continuing investigation rather than separate cases, and it moves at a tense, propulsive pace with a layered sense of paranoia and moral unease. Its dark, grounded atmosphere and procedural rigor bring to mind Sacred Games for fans of Indian crime dramas, along with The Killing and Criminal Justice for viewers who enjoy slow-building detective mysteries with a hidden suspect at their center.
