## Synopsis

Victorious Mehmets (2018-2019) is a Turkish historical war drama series created by Mehmet Bozdağ and broadcast on TRT 1. Following a group of determined soldiers during the First World War, the story centers on Üsküplü Ali (İsmail Hacıoğlu) and the young Mehmet (İsmail Ege Şaşmaz), whose unit is determined to hold Ottoman ground against an English invasion. Zeynep (Özgü Kaya), Mevlüt Çavuş (İsmail Hakkı) and Said (Semih Ertürk) round out the principal cast, and their days are shaped by trench-level skirmishes, command decisions and the strain of holding a line far from home. Across two seasons and 34 long-form episodes of about two hours each, the series builds an epic, patriotic sweep rather than a case-of-the-week format. Set in the Mesopotamian campaign of the First World War, it balances battlefield intensity with quieter moments of loyalty and sacrifice. Its tone is earnest, stirring and heroic, with a strong sense of national pride. Viewers who enjoy Resurrection: Ertuğrul, Diriliş: Ertuğrul and Band of Brothers will find resonance in its blend of historical scale and soldier camaraderie.
